Maple BBQ Chicken Recipe

Discover a flavorful and satisfying dish with tender grilled chicken, glazed in a sweet and smoky maple barbecue sauce.



  • 34 Cup Maple Grove Farms® Pure Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce (or ketchup)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp dry mustard
  • ½ tsp coarse salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 lbs skin on chicken thighs


  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the syrup, vinegar, Worcestershire, tomato sauce, paprika, mustard, salt and pepper.
  2. Over medium heat, bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and stir.
  4. Keep at a simmer, stirring frequently, until reduced (about 15-20 minutes).
  5. While sauce is simmering, preheat oven to 400°F.
  6. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  7. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and place on the rack, skin side up.
  8. When sauce is done, set aside ¼ C. for basting. Reserve the rest for serving.
  9. Bake the chicken for 15 minutes.
  10. Brush with 1 Tbsp. BBQ sauce, flip over, and baste the other side with 1 Tbsp. BBQ sauce.
  11. Bake 15 minutes, then again, brush each side with 1 Tbsp. BBQ sauce, ending with skin side up.
  12. Bake 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  13. Serve with reserved sauce.
